A Recognition That Matters
We are proud to share that Amyra Farms and founder Sandeep Chaudhary have been featured in AI-Preneurs of India, NITI Aayog's flagship coffee table book published by the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM). The book was unveiled at the India AI Impact Summit 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi — the government's premier event for India's AI ecosystem.
What is AI-Preneurs of India?
AI-Preneurs of India is the seventh edition of AIM's celebrated Innovations For You coffee table series. This edition documents the journeys of 45 pioneering AI startups selected from Atal Incubation Centres across the country, covering over 30 sectors including healthcare, agriculture, sustainability, and deep tech.
What makes this publication unique is its founder-first storytelling approach. Rather than just showcasing technology, it captures the motivations, challenges, and resilience of entrepreneurs building purpose-driven solutions for India's real-world problems.
Why Amyra Farms Was Selected
At Amyra Farms, we are building something that did not exist before: AI-powered regenerative coffee farming from estate to cup. Our two estates in Karnataka's Western Ghats — a 30-acre Arabica estate in Chikmagalur at 1,000 meters elevation and a 54-acre Robusta estate in Sakleshpur — serve as living laboratories where traditional farming wisdom meets modern technology.
Precision agriculture with AI: We use computer vision, acoustic sensors for pest detection, and soil eDNA analysis to monitor crop health, detect pests like the white stem borer early, and optimise harvest timing. Our closed-loop crop prediction system analyses field observations and generates harvest projections that get more accurate with every season.
Regenerative farming at scale: Our integrated system connects Gir cattle to biogas to vermicompost to fertigation in a closed loop. Zero chemicals. Microbial consortiums — Azotobacter, Trichoderma, VAM, Pseudomonas, Beauveria bassiana — replace synthetic inputs entirely. The soil gets healthier every year, not depleted.
Farm-to-cup traceability: Every lot of coffee from our estates is tracked from block-level field data through processing and into the hands of the customer. Our platform provides the kind of transparency that EU regulations now demand and Indian consumers increasingly expect.
AI-native commerce: Our D2C storefront at amyrafarms.in features an AI Coffee Sommelier that helps customers discover their perfect brew through conversation, AI-generated content, and dynamic business intelligence — a first for Indian D2C coffee brands.
What This Means for Indian Coffee
India is the sixth-largest coffee producer in the world, but most Indian coffee estates still rely on decades-old practices. Climate change, rising input costs, and labour shortages are squeezing margins for small growers across Chikmagalur, Kodagu, and Wayanad.
Our vision extends beyond our own estates. The platform we are building is designed to onboard other coffee growers, giving them access to the same AI-powered tools, market intelligence, and direct buyer connections. We are working toward a network of 50-100 growers who can benefit from technology that would be impossible for any single small estate to build alone.
Being featured in a NITI Aayog publication validates this vision at the national level. It is recognition that the future of Indian agriculture is not just about producing more — it is about producing smarter, sustainably, and with full traceability from soil to cup.
